Everybody Row

Everybody Row is essential punk n' roll. There's enough punk attitude to carry the band and a good amount of rock inspired hooks to keep things in check. Plus they have an organ in their songs so they have a cool dancy vibe at times. Snag their debut 7"and get stoked because they're currently writing for a full length.

Chiens hails from France and creates maniacal grindcore mayhem that's too good for words.  Complete with rapid-fire speeds, blazing riffs, spazzed-out drum work, guttural howls and shrieks and so much more to keep anyone's attention perked up.  This band's recorded output is utter chaos that's undeniably brutal.  Snag everything below and dig.

Picture of Pillage
Chicago's Pillage spits out blistering fastcore/powerviolence rage.  This outfit is made up of very experienced musicians who've stamped many permanent marks in the hardcore scene over many years.  Every blasting track is loaded with feedback-drenched riffs, muddy bass noise, frantic drum abuse and menacing vocal grunts.  Snag and dig.

The Drip

The Drip Demo Tape cover art
Philadelphia, Pennsylvania's The Drip dropped a tasty demo this year that is an absolute ripper.  These dudes play a stripped down, constantly thumping brand of hardcore punk that just keeps moving right along.  The riffs are insanely catchy and addicting along with stomping drums and ugly vocals.  This demo had me hooked right away and should definitely be heard by all.  Snag below and DIG!

Late Bloomer

Picture of Late Bloomer
Fucking Late Bloomer man.   Dudes...  Dudettes...  This band rules!   Hailing from Charlotte, NC, these guys create an amazing brand of grungy-ass punk with the awesome 90's throw-back alternative vibe.  Driving bass, dirty melodies and incredible guitar work is the least I can say.  Their new LP is astonishing as well as their previous material that still kicks so much ass.  No excuse not to peep these guys.  Groove on.  Dig.

Raein is one of the best Italian Screamo/Hardcore bands ever!!! I can't explain how much this band rules.  They formed in 2002 and share members with screamo band La Quiete and post-rock band Neil On Impression.  This band is emotional, technical, melodic and strangely catchy.  They went on hiatus in 2005 only to make a triumphant return in 2007 to, again, blow fuckin' minds!  Ever since I first heard this band, I knew they would remain one of my all-time favorites to come out of Europe.  This is my personal Raein collection that I'd like to share.  I believe the only release missing is a Compilation track from the "Verso La Fine Comp."  Enjoy these releases, they're timeless.  Dig.

Pet Symmetry

These good ol' boys play some kick-ass indie rock that gets a little twinkly, but not enough to be classified that way. Pet Symmetry has a harder and more memorable feel than their mid-west DIY past might speculate. Plus Evan Weiss' nerdy Weezer-type lyrics gives their sound a touch of nostalgia. Snag their masterful new LP along with their previous material below.

* Track 1 from the Five songs EP is originally off the Dikembe split 7", and tracks 2-3 are off the Two Songs About Cars. Two Songs With Long Titles EP. 4-5 are demo versions of songs from Pets Hounds.

Here's more rad hardcore from Boston's 2X4.  This outfit creates a stripped down brand of hardcore punk that's constant and thumping with clean sounding guitars, non-stop punk beats and tough vocal grunts.  2X4's demo owned and their follow-up 7" is an absolute rager!  Snag both releases below and dig.
